The CP3 Pitch platform
CP3 = C3 + P3. C3 makes the pitch worth acting on. P3 finds the investors most likely to act on it. First you build the pitch with C3, then you match it to the right investors with P.I.T.C.H.
Part 1
C3: Concise · Compelling · Credible
C3 is the structure every CP3 Pitch video and deck is built and scored against. Investors decide quickly, so the pitch has to pass three tests.
Repeatable in one minute
An investor can say what you do, for whom, and what you are asking for in one sentence after one minute.
- One product, one proof point, one ask
- Ask stated at the start and at the close
Urgent and clear
The need, the timing and the ask are obvious before the investor reaches the end.
- Lead with the problem, not the technology
- Show why now and why you win
Checkable against sources
Every number can be traced to a document, and the limits of the evidence are stated before an investor finds them.
- Numbers match across every document
- Proof, team and traction up front
How C3 is applied
Part 2
P.I.T.C.H.: get the best match with investors
Once the pitch passes C3, P.I.T.C.H. finds who should see it. Every investor receives a 0 to 100 fit score built from five parts worth up to 20 points each, then a tier so you know who to approach first.
Positioning
How closely the investor's stated thesis, sector and focus match your company and arena.
Up to 20 pointsInvestment capacity
Whether the investor's typical check size fits the amount you are raising.
Up to 20 pointsTraction / stage
Whether the investor backs companies at your stage, with your level of proof.
Up to 20 pointsContactability
How reachable the investor is: a warm introduction, a direct contact, or only a cold channel.
Up to 20 pointsHeft
The seniority and decision-making access of the contact, so a conversation can lead to a decision.
Up to 20 pointsWhat a strong match looks like
- The investor's thesis fits your arena (Positioning).
- Your raise fits their check size (Investment capacity).
- They back your stage and your level of proof (Traction/stage).
- You have a realistic way in (Contactability).
- The contact can make or move a decision (Heft).
Score and tier your own investor list with Dean's List, and read the full method on the Framework page. Scores are directional and are not investment advice.
Together
CP3 = C3 + P3
C3 improves what investors see. P.I.T.C.H. improves who sees it. The platform runs both through the five steps: register and upload, assess and give feedback, record and quality-check, investor cohort and follow up.
